“They can keep their heaven. When I die, I'd sooner go to middle Earth.” ― George R. R. Martin

I like things. Sometimes they are the same kind of things. Sometimes I'm in a mood and like things I don't usually like. Sometimes I hate things. Sometimes I'm not sure how I feel about things. But, no matter what, I'm always honest about it.

Crushed (A Redemption Novel) - Lauren Layne

What is it about Lauren Layne books that I can never quite give them five full stars? It's not that they are bad. As a matter of fact, they're so awesome that she's on my favorite writers list that has under 20 authors. But that's not because she's THE BEST CR writer out there. It's because she's consistent.

Her books are the too-happy-to-care-if-I-shouldn't kind, and on that front she almost never fails to deliver. I always get too wrapped up in the story to give a damn if there are cliches or predictable plots. Which is good, because with Layne is never original with the storyline itself. It's the way she does it that makes her rise above other authors.

I have a smile plastered on my face, and the fucker won't go away. Maybe it's the fact that one of my favorite authors didn't disappoint me. Maybe it's that I loved all the characters, even when I hated them. Maybe it's just Taylor Swift's new catchy single on repeat. Maybe it's that I'm done with my History homework. Maybe it's the euphoria of reading the great ending of an amazing book. Maybe I have chosen to momentarily forget this was the end of one of my all times favorite series. Or perhaps I'm really crazy and everyone was right this whole time. It doesn't matter because, for the time being, the smile is there and not even Stalin and his cray-cray ideas can ruin it.

Figured that if I was going to give any BDSM a try, it might as well be Nenia's.

3% - Looking back on some of the books I've self-published, I guess it's pretty obvious that I'm smitten. The boy-falls-in-love-with-best-friend-and-realizes-she's-soulmate theme is prevalent in all my published works.

Makes you wonder about Nenia...

33% - I decide to go with one of my My Little Pony shirts.

YOU MEAN SHE HAS MORE THAN ONE?!

38% - “Lube is your friend.”

 Life lessons.

Catching Jordan - Miranda Kenneally

(I'm sick. I'm lazy. Go away.)

So this is She's The Man...

... meets High School Musical...

(scratch that for BOY)

... meets The Vampire Diaries...

... and most of the time I was just like...

... but sometimes IT WAS like this.

Overall: forgettable.

Surprisingly, the sports/college talk part of this book is what I liked the most.
